Learn about the culture of Kochi in this DIY guesthouse! Each room has been designed with a different Kochi theme in mind so you are guaranteed to have an interesting stay! Once a traditional family house it has now been transformed into a unique, design based guesthouse whilst still retaining the cosy at home feel! 5 rooms and 20 beds : Tatami-style, Western-style, Dormitory-style.

The Yuzu Room Constructed out of stucco and natural wood, this private room has been made to resemble a forest of citrus trees. Children especially enjoy playing with its leaves! During the day, enjoy a nap in the hammock. At night, take in the room’s aromas as you fall soundly asleep…

Bonito Room

The Bonito Room This is the guesthouse’s namesake room. Surround yourself in a sea of blue while schools of bonito fish swim on Tosa-made shoji screens. Enjoy a summer beer on the homemade terrace!

The Buntan Room This room is in a new-built house opened in Aug, 2018. It is Western-style room and has triple bunk beds, and each bed has enough space to relax. Hope you will love handmade curtains and lighting made of dried flowers.

The Tosatsuru Room This room is in a new-built house opened in Aug, 2018. It is Tatami-style room with a hammock and a loft. You can enjoy lots of unique stuff, such as a blind made of tatami or Japanese traditional paper, and handmade hangar racks with a moon shape.

The Biscuits Room/Mix dormitory room This is a mixed dormitory room in a new-built house opened in Aug, 2108. There are four double-deck beds. This room has a hammock that you can take a nap after a long trip. The furniture in this room are inspired by a picture of sea. You’ll see beautiful stained glass on which bonitos are painted.

Restrooms The upstairs restroom features references to chinkabashi bridges and the Shimanto River. The downstairs restroom is themed on Koubou Daishi’s pilgrimage of Shikoku’s 88 temples.

Bathroom Named after the Katsurahama shore, famous for its moonlight views and statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, we hope to inspire thoughts about Japan’s future in the same way that Ryoma once did. The bathroom is spacious enough for family use♪ The washing machine and two wash basins are located here. Also there are 2 shower rooms in New-built house. Use of the washing machine, towels, toothbrushes can be purchased for 100 yen. Dryer is 300 yen.

※Open between the hours of 6:00~9:00 and 16:00~23:30.

Kitchen The kitchen is open for use to all guests. There are also free bread, tea and sweets available as well. We encourage everyone to enjoy their meals here while taking advantage of the kotatsu heater, ipad, dvd and games.

  • Female Dorm:¥2800 per person,per night
  • Male Dorm:¥2800 per person,per night
  • Private:¥3800 per person,per night

Children (under 10 years old) : Half price. (However, one child per family/group that is 3 years old and under will be free of charge. )

Cancellation Fees: Reservations cancelled will incur the following charges

  • Before one week: 20% of rate
  • 2 days ? a day before: 50% of rate
  • On the same day/ No show: 100% of rate

ACCESS・MAP

From the north exit of Kochi station, walk north and straight for 5 min, taking a right at the corner of Kochi Bank. Walk 5 more min until reaching the Play Place‘s King Kong statue. Walk across the street and turn right before the first traffic light. The guest house is located between a three-story house and a three-story pink apartment building.For additional help regarding directions, ask the Tosa Terrace information center located at the south side of Kochi station.
